Our NextGen Hybrid Reusable Diaper
Pocket-Sling™ works with either a smartnappy reusable insert or smartnappy disposable insert.
Which type of insert is up to you.
Many parents find the reusable inserts are ideal for general use and the disposable inserts are handy for travel.
Our disposable inserts use much less plastic than standard disposable diapers.
The smartnappy system will save thousands of disposable diapers from going into landfills and reduce single use plastics. Our reusable inserts are easy to use, easy to wash, and quick to dry.
In baby's first 90 days alone, you could save over 100 disposable diapers from going into a landfill.
Helps save the environment,
and save money, too.
Over the next 2-3 years, before baby learns to use the toilet, the smartnappy system will save thousands of disposable diapers from going into landfills, reduce single use plastics, and save you money. Plus, you can use them again to save even more or give them to family or friends to use.
Reusable Inserts & Covers
1) Wash Insert & Booster in hot water and tumble dry warm 3 times prior to first use for best absorbency. Prior to washing the cover, close Easy Tabs, then wash on warm and tumble dry low. For maximum absorbency, be sure to do all three wash/dry cycles.
2) Place insert in sling quilted side up. Change insert at each feeding about every 2-3 hours for newborns, and about every 3-4 hours for older babies. Wipe sling prior to placing new insert in sling. Wash Cover when soiled or after several uses.
Newborn poo is liquidy or pasty and water-soluble, so the soiled reusable insert
can be easily washed in the washer. Use a
diaper pail and wash your reusable inserts in
the washer every other day or so.
Using a soaking solution in the diaper pail is your choice. Many parents do not soak the reusable inserts. Instead, they use a
liner in the pail and lift the filled liner out of
the pail and put the entire bag in the washer.
Older babies, when they start eating solids around 6 months, will have solid poop. Shake solid stool into the toilet or use a bio-liner on top of insert and use the bio-liner to move stool to toilet. Might sound gross now, but parents tell us all the time that it's not that big a deal & easy to do when caring for your sweet baby.
